A Dragon's Revelation

Inspired by Christopher Paolini's novel: Eragon

In the vast landscapes of Alagaesia, under the scorching sun of the Hadarac Desert, a young Rider and his dragon continued their relentless journey. Eragon and Saphira, bound by an indescribable bond, were amidst a journey that would alter the fate of their world.

Eragon, with his distinctive silver hair and deep-set eyes, was more than just a Rider. He was Saphira’s partner, a force to battle the malevolent King Galbatorix. His delicate relationship with Saphira, the majestic blue dragon, was an emblem of strength. Their bond was their most potent weapon.

Over the whispering wind and shifting sands, Saphira voiced her concern, 'Eragon, our supplies near their end. We need sustenance.'

Eragon's gaze followed the endless expanse of sand before them. He knew Saphira was right. Despite their pressing mission, they could risk neither their lives nor their cause.

As the evening approached, Eragon felt a brief flicker of magic. Was it an oasis? Intrigued, he urged Saphira towards it. To their surprise, they found an oasis flourishing with life, guarded by a mysterious stone gate. Upon closer inspection, Eragon noticed the gate bore Ancient Language inscriptions. He read it aloud, and the gate creaked open, unveiling a hidden sanctuary.

Within the sanctuary, Eragon discovered a cavern shimmering with magical energy and filled with ancient scrolls. The scrolls held tales of dragons, their history, their lore, and their magic. Moreover, it unravelled secrets about the bond between dragons and Riders. The scrolls revealed a prophecy unknown to Eragon and probably forgotten by even the oldest dragons. The prophecy marked him as the ‘Dragon's Revelation’ - a Rider whose impact would change the world of Dragon and Men forever.

With newfound knowledge and purpose, Eragon and Saphira left the sanctuary. They headed back into the desert, emboldened, their hearts pounding with resolve. They would face Galbatorix, not just for their destiny but for the prophecy they now bore. The prophecy of the 'Dragon's Revelation' was not just a myth. It was their journey, their struggle, their destiny, and they would ensure its fulfilment, or die in the attempt.
