Eclipse of the Forgotten

Inspired by Stephenie Meyer's novel: Twilight

Bella Swan had been away from Forks for a year, studying in Florida. The Cullen family had also moved, leaving Bella with a sense of emptiness that was hard to shake. After her studies, she decided to return to Forks, the place where everything had changed for her. She felt a strange pull, bringing her back to the land of mist and mystery. Forks looked the same, but somehow, it felt different without anyone she once held dear. Bella visited her old house, Charlie's place, feeling a pang of nostalgia. The police cruiser still parked outside, Charlie's fishing equipment lying around, everything was just as she remembered. She spent a few hours wandering around, reminiscing about her life with Charlie.

Walking up to her old room, Bella felt an ache in her heart. The room was just as she had left it, untouched and preserved. She saw her old books, her pictures, and on her table, the picture of Edward. His vibrant eyes still held that hypnotizing look. The sight of it brought back the torrent of memories, the time when she was irrevocably in love with Edward Cullen, a vampire. Tears welled up in her eyes, but she fought them back.

Bella decided to visit the forest where she first discovered Edward's truth. The quiet of the forest was unnerving, yet comforting. It was there she stumbled upon an unexpected sight, a single white lily, Edward's favorite. Bella picked it up, holding it gently in her hands. Suddenly, she felt a familiar shiver run down her spine. She turned around to find a pair of golden eyes watching her in the shadow. The longing in those eyes was enough for Bella to recognize them. It was Edward, her vampire love. He had returned as well, drawn back to Forks just like her.

'Bella,' Edward's voice was a whisper, a melody. Too overwhelmed to speak, Bella just looked at him, the vampire who had once stolen her heart. Edward stepped forward and took her hand gently. 'I never stopped loving you,' he confessed, his golden eyes locked into hers. Bella felt a tear trickle down her cheek. She had longed to hear these words. 'I love you too, Edward,' she whispered back, her voice choked with emotion. They hugged tightly, promising never to let go. It seemed Forks was not just an ordinary town, it was a town of mystery, magic and love that had brought them back together.
