A new adventure began for young Jim Hawkins, having just returned from the exotic Treasure Island, carrying with him heart-stopping tales of pirates, buried gold, and blood-curdling battles. A mysterious letter had arrived, wreaking of the salty sea, and bearing an unpolished shell as its seal. The letter was marked with a new set of coordinates, leading to a place known as 'Parley's Cove'.

The vainglorious Musketeer Porthos was walking on the bustling streets of Paris when a mysterious man approached him. His attire of a worn-out hat and cloak made him look like a commoner, but his gleaming eyes spoke of a story much deeper. He introduced himself as Claude, a destitute man who claimed to be wronged by a ruthless nobleman. Sensing an opportunity of an exciting escapade, Porthos decided to intervene.

Mack and his bunch of straggler friends, known to the locals as the boys, were a unique bunch that lived in a vacant lot situated amidst the hustle and bustle of Cannery Row. A source of amusement, bewilderment, and sometimes, mild annoyance to the locals, these boys lived by their own rules, unbound by societal norms and constraints.

Danny had lived in his small house on Tortilla Flat for many years. A modest place that had been left to him by his grandfather and often filled with his paisano friends, Pilon, Pablo, Jesus Maria, and sometimes even the Pirate.
