In the bewitching depths of the night, Sophie awoke with a feeling of anticipation. Tonight, she had planned something unheard of with her dear friend, the Big Friendly Giant (BFG). Their bond, cemented by their thrilling adventures in Dream Country, had grown incredibly strong. They shared a unique bond, a bond of trust and camaraderie. Sophie's plan was simple. She wanted to hear the dreams inside the BFG's assortment of dream jars.

Salamanca Tree Hiddle, or Sal as her friends called her, sat beneath the whispering tree. It was the same old sycamore on the banks of the winding Euclid’s Creek near her grandparents' house in Bybanks, Kentucky.
