There was always something almost spiritual about Derry, Maine. As the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky with vibrant hues, all could feel the slight shiver of impending chills. The friends, Henry Devlin, Beaver Clarendon, Pete Moore, and Jonesy, gathered around the roaring campfire, felt this familiar sensation yet again. Their annual trip was always filled with nostalgia, laughter, stories, and the inexplicable sense of dread that only those familiar with Derry could understand.

As the alien terrain of Mars unfolded before his eyes, Zan couldn't help but feel like an outcast. He was a man born on Earth, raised by Martians, and now returned to the land of his birth—a stranger in a strange land indeed. Around him, the hustle and bustle of New York City was a stark contrast to the calm and serenity he was accustomed to on Mars.
